Sujung Cho is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Southern Illinois University (SIU), joining the faculty in Fall 2017. Prior to SIU, she served as an Assistant Professor at Delta State University (2015–2017) and worked as a police officer in South Korea (2000–2008). She earned her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2015.
Her research focuses on juvenile delinquency, youth victimization, and cross-cultural quantitative criminology. She currently explores how strainful social dynamics and negative emotionality influence youth suicidal behaviors using latent class and latent growth modeling.
