About
Dr. Subhashis Mallick is Professor of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Wyoming, with research focusing on computational seismology applications. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii and teaches courses in geophysical optimization theory and petroleum geology.
Research investigates carbon sequestration monitoring through waveform inversion techniques, climate change impacts via ocean temperature/salinity mapping from seismic data, methane hydrate characterization, and geohazard assessment. Current projects include seismic monitoring of carbon storage reservoirs and oceanographic parameter estimation for climate modeling.
