Dr. Stuart Snaith is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Victoria's Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, where he has been since 2015. Previously, he held positions at Essex Business School and the University of Bristol. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Essex, along with a BA (Hons) in Finance and Management Science and an MSc in Finance from Keele University and Essex respectively.
His research focuses on international finance, particularly testing parity conditions in foreign exchange markets such as the forward premium anomaly and purchasing power parity puzzle. He also explores foreign exchange implied volatility modeling, commodity futures market efficiency, and determinants of project finance loans. His work has been published in journals like the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, and Economics Letters.
Teaching includes courses on Management Finance and International Finance at undergraduate/graduate levels. He has co-supervised PhD students to completion and actively participates in research grants.
