Michael King is Lansdowne Chair in Finance and Associate Professor at University of Victoria's Gustavson School of Business. He holds a BCom from Queen's University and MSc/PhD from London School of Economics. Previously Tangerine Chair at Ivey Business School, he founded Canada's first FinTech research centre.
His research spans climate finance, FinTech, banking regulation, and international financial markets. Recent publications examine greenhouse gas compliance of corporations, bank credit ratings, and cross-border bailout mechanisms.
