Stine Haakonsson

Stine Haakonsson is an Associate Professor at the Department of Organization, Copenhagen Business School. Her research focuses on global industry restructuring (outsourcing, offshoring, global value chains), global innovation networks (GINs), emerging markets (China, India, Brazil, South Africa), and renewable energy technology transfer. She explores institutional frameworks like the WTO and UNFCCC governing globalization processes.

• Teaching: Applied Organizational Analysis, Innovation Management, Organisational Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Her recent work examines the transformative capacity of public sector organizations in sustainability transitions and global science networks during crises. Key publications include studies on Danish-Chinese wind energy collaboration and globalization of R&D in pharmaceuticals.

She has held external roles such as Board Member at GINP (2023–2024) and participated in research stays at Stanford University (Autumn 2024). Her projects include analyzing wind energy innovation networks and techno-economic paradigm shifts in clean energy adoption.
