Steven Webber

Steven Webber is an Associate Professor in FSU's Department of Interior Architecture & Design. With over 10 years of professional practice including work at Gensler, he holds NCIDQ certification and LEED-AP credentials.

His research examines interior design pedagogy, emotional intelligence in designers, and empathy-systemizing quotients. Publications include 'Interior Design Fundamentals' (2nd ed., 2024) and journal articles on collaborative design models and emotional intelligence. Awards include IDEC Service Award (2024) and FSU Teaching Awards (2018, 2019).

He teaches advanced design studios, Construction Documents, and Survey of Interior Design. As IDEC President-Elect (2023-2024) and former Director of Graduate Studies, he has shaped design education standards nationally.
