Steven Paul Proper

Steven Paul Proper, DO, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine within the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. His clinical expertise focuses on allergy and immunology, with specialization in asthma care, oral immunotherapy for food allergies, atopic dermatitis (eczema), hereditary angioedema, and immune deficiency.

Dr. Proper's research investigates hypoxia signaling in cobalt toxicity and lung epithelium development, alongside clinical outcomes-based research in allergy and immunology. He actively teaches trainees at all levels.
