Timothy Craig

Timothy Craig is a Professor in the Department of Medicine Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine at Pennsylvania State University. He also holds a Professorship in the Department of Pediatrics. His roles include directing the Penn State Alpha-1 Deficiency Center and leading the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Fellowship program. Craig has over 23 years of clinical research experience in allergy, immunology, and respiratory diseases.

Education:

• Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center

Research focuses on asthma, COPD, hereditary angioedema, and immunodeficiency. Notable projects include studies on mouse models for asthma-related anxiety and microbiome influences. He collaborates internationally, including with Vietnam's Lam Dong Medical College for global health training.

Awards include the 2009 Distinguished Educator Award. Grants include NIH-funded projects on insect sting anaphylaxis and pseudoephedrine's role in allergic rhinitis. Leads 10+ active research grants with a focus on allergic disorders and respiratory diseases.
