Steven Mankouche is a Professor of Architecture at the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. A registered architect and native of Greece raised in Milan, Italy, he specializes in architectural fabrication, construction, and design studios for graduate and undergraduate students. His work bridges digital technologies with historic construction practices, emphasizing public participation in environmental design.
Research Interests: Mankouche explores the intersection of digital fabrication, robotics, and revival of lost architectural techniques. His projects often integrate interdisciplinary collaborations, historic material studies, and labor dynamics.
