Steven J. Huddart is the Smeal Chair Professor of Accounting and Senior Associate Dean for Research and Faculty at The Pennsylvania State University's Smeal College of Business. He previously served as Department Head of Accounting from 2011–2018. His research focuses on how decisions are influenced by information, incentives, social norms, and behavioral biases, particularly in areas like stock-based compensation, insider trading, and financial reporting.
