Steve TenEyck

Steve TenEyck serves as Dean of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Ithaca College, previously holding roles as Associate Dean, Chair of the Department of Theatre Arts, and instructor in lighting design for the BFA Theatre Production and Design program. His career bridges academic leadership with an active national freelance design practice.

He holds a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.F.A. from the University of Washington School of Drama, and is a member of United Scenic Artists local 829. His professional expertise spans theatrical lighting, opera, architectural environments, and large-scale institutional events.

TenEyck's design work has been featured by The Dallas Theater Center, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Gulfshore Playhouse, and major opera companies including Minnesota Opera and Florida Grand Opera. He also designs events for universities such as Princeton, Cornell, and Texas A&M through firms like BSI Productions and The Herson Group Ltd.

As an educator, he taught lighting design in Ithaca College's BFA program, mentoring students in technical production. His architectural projects include Lego Retail Stores, San Diego Zoo locations, and high-end residential lighting.
