Steve Smith is a Research Professor at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford, where he leads two groundbreaking climate initiatives: Oxford Net Zero and CO2RE. His work focuses on climate science and policy, particularly net zero emissions and greenhouse gas removal strategies. Previously, he co-headed the Climate Science Team at the UK’s Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and contributed to legislating national net zero targets.
