Steve Ryan

Steve Ryan is an Assistant Professor in the Advertising and Public Relations department at Temple University's Lew Klein College of Media and Communication. With over 30 years of professional experience as an award-winning communicator, he brings industry expertise to his academic role.

• Education: MS in Communication Management (Temple University), BA in French (Newberry College, SC)

Ryan teaches undergraduate courses including Public Relations Portfolio, News Writing and Media Relations, and Digital Media & Analytics. His research focuses on communication technology (AI/NLP), ethics, digital communication, and crisis management.

Professional affiliations include membership in the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) with Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), and the Educators Special Interest Group of the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC). Previously served on the board of the Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA).
