Steve Martin

Steve Martin is an Adjunct Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Information Systems at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He also serves as administrator for the D2L online classroom system, oversees infrastructure for Carter Hall, and is faculty sponsor for the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. His roles include advising adjunct professors on D2L and maintaining technical systems.

Education: Earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from Oklahoma Panhandle State University (with the J.R.P. Sewell Award) and a Master of Business Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Research and Teaching Philosophy: Focuses on fostering critical thinking in students, emphasizing practical application of CIS principles. Engaged in educational methodologies and technology integration in business systems.

Awards: Received the J.R.P. Sewell Award during undergraduate studies.

Additional Roles: Serves as administrator for AITP, manages campus technical infrastructure, and supports student organizations. Active in community service and agricultural work as a fourth-generation Panhandle farmer/rancher.
