Professor Steve Evans is the Director of the Centre for Industrial Sustainability at the University of Cambridge. His work integrates interdisciplinary approaches to address industrial sustainability challenges, focusing on radical resource efficiency, sustainable business models, and systemic rethinking. With a 15-year industrial career, he held roles such as Engineering Systems Manager at Martin-Baker Engineering. His research tools have impacted over 300 companies globally and influenced UK/international policy.
Leadership roles include Chair of the IET Manufacturing Policy Panel, Co-Chair of the Manufacturing Commission (with Lord Bilimoria), and Board Chair of Project X Global, a cleantech start-up.
