Steve Barry

Dr Steve Barry is the Program Leader for Jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. A multi-award-winning pianist, Hammond organist, and composer, he bridges jazz, contemporary classical, and improvised music worlds while fostering transnational collaborations.

Barry's creative practice explores modern jazz composition, free improvisation, and cross-cultural musical dialogue. His recent work examines ocean-inspired themes and pedagogical innovations in jazz education.
