Stephen Schock is a Professor in the Visual Development department at the College for Creative Studies (CCS), Detroit, with a focus on Product Design. He has been a faculty member since 1998 and holds an MFA from Wayne State University and a BFA from CCS. His work bridges academic instruction and real-world innovation, particularly in Detroit-centered economic development through design.
His research and professional interests span a broad range including industrial design, sustainable design, health, energy, material reuse, and lifestyle product innovation. He actively applies design thinking and research in multidisciplinary collaborations with Fortune 500 companies such as Nike, Samsung, Steelcase, and Whirlpool.
