Stephen Meyer

Stephen Meyer is a Professor of Tango Violin at Codarts University of the Arts (Rotterdam) and a current doctoral student at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London. His research explores the role of the violin in early-20th-century tango, focusing on stylistic innovation and socio-political contexts. He holds degrees from Yale University, the Paris Conservatoire, and a Master's in Argentine tango from Codarts. Meyer performs globally with ensembles Sonico and Tango Por Tres, blending classical training with tango specialization.
