Dr. Stephen J Brooke is a Professor and Chair in the Department of History at York University's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. His research specializes in 20th century British history with focus on politics, gender, sexuality, and culture. His forthcoming book 'London, 1984: Conflict and Change in the Radical City' examines urban transformation during a critical historical period.
