Stephen Grado

Dr. Stephen Grado is the George L. Switzer Professor of Forestry at the Department of Forestry, College of Forest Resources, Mississippi State University. A natural resource economist, he specializes in multi-use forest management and certification.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Forest Resources, Pennsylvania State University
• M.S. in Forest Resources & Operations Research, Pennsylvania State University
• B.S. in Forest Science, Pennsylvania State University
• B.A. in Political Science, Villanova University

Research & Leadership: Dr. Grado focuses on wildlife economics, urban forestry, and human dimensions of forest management. He serves as President of the Penn State Forest Resources Alumni Group and the Professional Arborist Association of Mississippi. Awards include SAF Fellow and multiple CFR honors.
