Stephen Buss is a Senior Lecturer in Osteopathy at Swansea University, affiliated with the School of Health and Social Care and the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science. He holds a Master’s degree from the European School of Osteopathy and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council. A Higher Education Academy fellow, he specializes in family care (paediatric, maternity, and general practice), osteopathic principles, and yoga. He has taught yoga since 2004 and serves as Vice Principal of the Victor Foundation for Yoga Teacher Training.
His academic roles include heading the Year 1 M.Ost programme, lecturing in Osteopathic Skills, and leading modules such as Osteopathic Concepts and Principles. He also tutors at the Osteopathy Clinic within the Health and Well-being Academy and Harbourside. Prior to his current role, he practiced in Kent, Dublin, and Wales, and assisted osteopathic technique courses at his alma mater.
Teaching focuses on foundational osteopathic skills, clinical decision-making, and patient management. His expertise bridges osteopathic practice with holistic approaches, informed by over 20 years of yoga instruction and leadership in yoga education.
