Stephen Brookes is an Honorary Associate Professor (Reader) at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He specializes in public policy, leadership development, and organizational governance with 30 years of experience across military, policing, and government sectors. Holding a PhD in Police Community Leadership (2004), his research emphasizes collective leadership, public value creation, and crisis management. He led the MSc International Healthcare Leadership program and co-authored influential works like The Selfless Leader (2016) and the 2023 Research Handbook of Public Leadership.
