Stephanie Jones

Stephanie Jones serves as French Horn Tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) and Sub-Principal 4th Horn with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra since 2009, maintaining an active dual career in performance and education.

Her educational background includes studies at the Royal Northern College of Music (2000-2005) and a 2023 PG Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Performing Arts, for which she earned Fellowship of the Higher Education Authority.

Professional interests center on horn performance and music education, with significant outreach work including BBC SSO school workshops, Tunes for Tots programs for preschoolers, and educational sessions at HMP Low Moss Prison. As a member of the Rookh Horn Quartet and frequent BBC SSO chamber collaborator, she actively contributes to Scotland's chamber music scene while coaching the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.
