Stephan Schott is a Professor at the School of Public Policy and Administration, Carleton University. His research focuses on Indigenous policy, environmental economics, energy strategies, and resource governance. He leads interdisciplinary projects like FISHES, addressing Indigenous fisheries sustainability in Nunavut. Schott co-leads a Genome Canada-funded initiative and collaborates with institutions such as Université Laval and Queen’s University. His work integrates decolonial theories and community-based research, emphasizing knowledge co-production. Schott teaches graduate courses including natural resource management, environmental economics, and energy policy. He advises several PhD students and has supervised over 15 researchers.
