Stefano Bocchi is a Full Professor of Agronomy at the State University of Milan and Milan Polytechnic University. He serves as the Dean’s delegate for sustainability (Minerva 2030 project), head of the Green Office, president of the Italian Agroecology Association (AIDA), and president of the scientific committee of the Italian Institute for Planetary Health (IIPH). He co-founded the Gaia 2050 research center and LCA Research Center, and is a member of the Centre for Multidisciplinary Research in Health Science (MACH). Previously, he was scientific manager of the Biodiversity Park at EXPO 2015.
His research focuses on agronomy, agroecology, herbaceous crops, sustainability transitions, biodiversity conservation, and interdisciplinary approaches to global health challenges. He coordinates modules on UN Sustainable Development Goals and teaches courses including Agricultural Ecology and Agroecology.
Professor Bocchi leads the Social Sustainability and UN Agenda 2030 project at Human Hall, with additional affiliations spanning agricultural policy, environmental resilience, and planetary health initiatives.
