Stacey Rathert is Instructional Associate Professor of Sculpture in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Mississippi's College of Liberal Arts. Her creative practice integrates traditional blacksmithing techniques with contemporary sculptural approaches, producing both functional objects and large-scale public artworks.
Research explores material transformations through meticulous processes including metal casting, fabric manipulation, and mold-making. Current work examines rural identity narratives through fantastical reinterpretations of agricultural iconography.
Additional instructional responsibilities include foundations courses in Three-Dimensional Design, supporting interdisciplinary art practice development.
