Gary Pearce is a Lecturer in Visual Arts at the University of North Georgia (UNG), teaching on the Gainesville and Oconee campuses since 2018. He holds an M.F.A. in Jewelry and Metals from the University of Georgia (2007) and a B.F.A. in Sculpture from Indiana University (1996).
His expertise spans sculpture and jewelry creation, blending figurative and non-objective styles in sculpture while specializing in bezel-set semi-precious stones and casting rings. Gary has taught foundational art courses including Three-dimensional Design, Drawing I, Art Appreciation, Sculpture I, Jewelry and Metalworking, and Figure Sculpture.
Previously, he taught drawing and design courses at the University of Georgia and the Art Institute of Atlanta before joining UNG. His creative work is featured in Katherine.Suzanne.Designs (his wife's company) and sold through Etsy and art shows.
