Stéphane Rousseau

Stéphane Rousseau is a Full Professor at the University of Montréal's Faculty of Law and an affiliated professor in the Finance Department at HEC Montréal. He serves as Academic Co-Director of the Ethics and Compliance Certification program at École des dirigeants and Director of the Centre de droit des affaires et du commerce international (CDACI).

His research focuses on corporate governance, financial market regulation, and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) integration into legal frameworks. Stéphane has authored 10+ peer-reviewed articles since 2018, including analyses of short selling regulation, ESG tech challenges, and SPAC longevity. His research projects explore corporate purpose, responsible innovation, and securities market compliance.
