Spencer Prewitt

Spencer Prewitt serves as Associate Professor of Clarinet at Austin Peay State University and is a faculty member at the Bay View Music Festival since 2020. Previously, he taught at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for six years. He holds a B.M. from the University of Oklahoma and M.M. and D.M.A. from Bowling Green State University.

Active as an orchestral musician, he has performed with symphonies including Nashville, Detroit, and Toledo, as well as recording 11 CDs with the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra. In Nashville, he works as a studio musician, contributing to film soundtracks (e.g., Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Harriet) and video game scores (Destiny 2, Call of Duty). Internationally, he has given recitals and masterclasses in China. Dr. Prewitt is a Buffet Crampon performing artist and clinician.
