Soyeon Kim

Soyeon Kim is a Vocal Tutor and Original Ensemble Tutor at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), working with both BMus and MMus students. She holds a Master in Music (Popular Music) with Distinction from RNCM and a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Yonsei University in South Korea. Her career includes extensive performance as a singer-songwriter in Korea, releasing over four albums and collaborating with prominent pop artists like Shin Seunghun and Park Jonghyun.

As a vocal coach, she has guided artists such as Lee Hyori, IU, and Lyn, and mentored contestants on popular Korean singing competitions. Her expertise spans vocal techniques, ensemble training, and music composition, reflecting her interdisciplinary role in popular music education.

RNCM’s School of Popular Music integrates her experience in performance and pedagogy, enhancing practical training for students.
