Sovicheth Boun is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of TESOL Graduate Programs in the Department of Secondary and Higher Education at the McKeown School of Education, Salem State University. A native of Cambodia, he earned a Ph.D. in Culture, Literacy, and Language from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Notable accolades include the 2023 TIRF James E. Alatis Prize for research on language policy. He serves on editorial boards of the Journal of Language, Identity and Education and International Journal of TESOL Studies, and has presented at AAAL, TESOL, and CamTESOL conferences.
