Soon-Tzu Speechley

Dr Soon-Tzu Speechley is a Lecturer in Urban and Cultural Heritage at the Melbourne School of Design, affiliated with the Australian Centre for Architectural History, Urban and Cultural Heritage (ACAHUCH). His research focuses on classical architecture in colonial Malaya, architectural networks within the British Empire, and Southeast Asian heritage preservation.

Dr Speechley's doctoral dissertation, The Classical Language of Architecture in British Malaya, 1867-1941, pioneered the first comprehensive survey of Malayan classicism. His work bridges architectural history, colonial studies, and cultural heritage conservation.
