Soo Chun Lu

Soo Chun Lu is an Associate Professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), affiliated with the College of Arts, Humanities, Media, and Public Affairs and the Department of History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Religious Studies. She holds a PhD from Ohio University (1997).

Education:

Research Interests: Her work focuses on Cold War geopolitics, decolonization processes, and identity politics in multicultural societies in Southeast Asia. She explores intersections between international relations and domestic societal dynamics in post-colonial contexts. Currently developing a course on modern Southeast Asia, she emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to historical analysis.

Teaching: Courses include US foreign relations, recent US history, and social studies education. She integrates regional and global perspectives into curriculum design.
