Dr. Soimart Rungmanee is a Research Fellow at the Resources, Environment and Development Department of the Australian National University (ANU). She holds a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Sydney, an MA in Political Economy, and a BA in Political Science, both from Chulalongkorn University. Her research focuses on critical agrarian studies, intergenerational migration, rural development, and land conflicts in Thailand and Laos. She leads Thai research in an ARC-funded project analyzing the broiler chicken industry's socio-environmental impacts globally.
