Sofie Jacobs

Sofie Jacobs is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management & Talent Development at Antwerp Management School (AMS) and a guest lecturer in HR Management at the University of Antwerp. She holds a PhD from the University of Antwerp (2017) focusing on pathways to objective and subjective success for small creative organizations. Her roles include teaching in Full-Time Master programs (e.g., Master in Strategic HRM, Sustainable Innovation & Entrepreneurship), Executive Master programs, and Company-Specific courses. She also serves as Academic Director for the Global Leadership Program, guiding students in self-awareness and leadership development.

Research interests center on sustainable careers from a multi-stakeholder perspective, challenges in non-standard careers (freelancers, gig workers), flexible talent management, and qualitative comparative analysis (QCA). Collaborations include Janssen Pharmaceutica, Flemish Government, and House of HR. Recent work explores future HR trends (e.g., 2030 talent strategies), career pride, and workforce adaptability in a tight labor market. Her publications address topics like career regrets, flexible talent deployment, and organizational culture.
