Sirous Ghanbarzadeh

Sirous Ghanbarzadeh is a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto and an Adjunct Professor at Vancouver Island University. With a background in architecture, he is a Principal and Urban Designer specializing in complex master plans for campuses, waterfronts, downtowns, and new communities across North America, the UK, and Asia.

His research and professional focus lies in Urban Design, particularly in Indigenous Community Plans and Development and Community and Waterfront Development. His work emphasizes sustainable planning and culturally sensitive design, including projects on unceded Indigenous territories.

Notable projects include leading the master plan for the 90-acre Jericho Lands in Vancouver, the University of Ottawa Campus Master Plan (award-winning), and urban design frameworks for Cardiff University and Brock University. He also engages in teaching, mentorship, and guest speaking roles at institutions like TMU and UBC.
