Siobhan Reid is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Human Sciences at The University of Western Australia. With 20 years of experience in clinical biomechanics, she specializes in understanding human movement and exercise rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities, particularly those with neuromuscular disorders such as Cerebral Palsy. She serves as the Course Coordinator for the Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology program and the Combined Bachelor-Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology.
Dr. Reid teaches several units including SSEH3555 - Motor Development: Principles to Teaching in Practice, SSEH5667 - Clinical Paediatrics & Disability, and SSEH5645 - Workplace Injury and Prevention Research. She also leads the School's Paediatric Exercise Programs, which provide movement and physical activity opportunities for children aged 3 to 18 years who have difficulty learning fundamental movement skills.
Her research focuses on rehabilitation for those with neurodevelopmental disability and disease, with specific interests in evidence-based practice for managing children with cerebral palsy, musculoskeletal and neurodevelopmental pathways in cerebral palsy, and exercise rehabilitation for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and wellbeing.
Dr. Reid's research output reveals a strong focus on developmental coordination disorder, cerebral palsy management, and physical activity interventions. Her work spans biomechanics, clinical gait analysis, and rehabilitation strategies, with significant contributions to understanding movement difficulties across various neurodevelopmental conditions.

Her collaborative work extends across institutions including University of Queensland and international partners.
She leads the School's Paediatric Exercise Programs and has been instrumental in developing community initiatives to connect children with disabilities to leisure activities through technology solutions.
