Sina Gallo

Sina Gallo is an Associate Professor at the University of Georgia's College of Family and Consumer Sciences, specializing in Nutritional Sciences. A clinician-scientist and Registered Dietitian, her research focuses on maternal and infant nutrition, vitamin D metabolism, and community-based interventions for vulnerable populations.

Research Interests:
Dr. Gallo investigates critical periods of nutritional intervention during pregnancy and infancy, particularly vitamin D supplementation effects on bone development. Her work with the Prenatal & Early-life Approaches to Child Health (PEACH Lab) evaluates dietary patterns in young children and develops culturally adapted programs like Vidas Activas y Familias Saludables (VALÉ) for Latino communities.
