Sin Ming Loo is a Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Boise State University. He joined in 2003 as an assistant professor, became associate professor in 2008 and full professor in 2012. He served as department chair from 2012 to 2014 and currently serves as Director of Cyber-Physical Systems Security.
His research spans embedded systems, hardware/software co-design, sensor systems, reconfigurable computing, and wireless sensor networks. Teaching areas include logic design, cyber-physical systems security, rapid prototyping, computer architecture, hardware description languages, and computer security.
Dr. Loo was the institution Principal Investigator for the FAA Center of Excellence for Airliner Cabin Environment Research and oversees the Cyber Lab for Industrial Control Systems.
He is a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, Information Systems Security Association International (ISSA), and Tau Beta Pi. His amateur radio call sign is KI4AKS.
