Simon Waddell

Professor Simon Waddell is affiliated with the University of Sussex, specifically the Brighton and Sussex Medical School. His research focuses on the adaptation mechanisms of tuberculosis bacteria during infection and their implications for developing novel treatments for mycobacterial diseases.

He is currently hosting an inaugural lecture titled Battling Tuberculosis: Revealing Bacterial Secrets for New Treatments at the BSMS Teaching Building in Brighton, UK. The lecture will discuss bacterial survival strategies and drug resistance, critical challenges in combating tuberculosis as the leading cause of death from a single infectious agent worldwide.
