Simon Prince

Dr Simon Prince serves as a Reader (equivalent to Associate Professor) in the Department of History and American Studies within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education at Canterbury Christ Church University, where he has been a core faculty member since September 2012 after holding academic positions at the University of Oxford, Queen's University Belfast, and King's College London.

He earned his PhD in History from the University of Cambridge in 2005 under the supervision of Professor Peter Clarke and Professor Robert Tombs, having completed both undergraduate and postgraduate historical studies at St John's College, Cambridge.

His scholarly work centers on historical analysis with interdisciplinary connections to American Studies, reflecting the dual focus of his academic department. This positioning enables collaborative research across historical periods and transnational cultural frameworks within the humanities.
