Simon Graham is a Lecturer in History at the University of Sydney, specializing in Intelligence History and Twentieth Century European History. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and additional degrees in German, Education, and Theology. His research focuses on Cold War intelligence activities and their impact on international organizations such as the UN and IAEA.
Education: BA (Hons 1) in History and International Relations, PhD in Intelligence History (University of Sydney); Bachelor of Theology (Moore Theological College); undergraduate qualifications in German and Education (Macquarie University).
Research interests include Intelligence Studies, the Global Cold War, and early modern theological influences on international order. He is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and affiliated with multiple historical associations.
Current projects include an interdisciplinary study of Cold War intelligence and international order, and exploratory research on theology’s role in early modern central Europe. Grants include funding from the Austrian Office for Internationalisation, Australian Academy of the Humanities, and DAAD.
He also serves as a Senior Education Advisor for the NSW Department of Education and Technical Advisor at NESA.
