Prof. Dr. Andrea Gabriele Hofmann holds the Professor of Church and Theological History at the Faculty of Theology, University of Basel since January 1, 2024. She studied Protestant theology and musicology in Heidelberg and Salzburg, earned her doctorate in 2013, and completed her habilitation at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2022 with a thesis on First World War sermons. Her academic journey includes roles at the Leibniz Institute for European History (Mainz), Humboldt University Berlin, and fellowships at the Herzog-August-Bibliothek and Alfried Krupp Institute.
