About
Simon Davis is a Professor of Molecular Immunology at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Radcliffe Department of Medicine and the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. He leads the T-cell Biology Group and contributes to the MRC Translational Immune Discovery Unit.
His research focuses on the cell biology of T-cell surface receptors, including immune checkpoints, and the kinetic-segregation (KS) model for leukocyte receptor triggering. He develops novel autoimmunity treatments in collaboration with Richard Cornall.
Recent work includes structural analysis of γδ T cell antigen receptors, in vivo tracking of checkpoint inhibitor-bound T cells, and mechanistic studies of antibody agonists, receptor diffusion, and two-dimensional binding affinity. His publications span immunology, structural biology, and theoretical modeling.
