Silke Straub

Silke Straub is a lecturer in jazz singing and voice training at the University of Music Würzburg, where she has taught since 2011. She developed and established the voice training curriculum for the jazz singing major. Concurrently, she taught at the University of Music Nuremberg (2017–2021) and Berufsfachschule für Musik Nuremberg (since 2009). In 2022, she founded her private singing school, SingLaden, offering individualized instruction.

Her research integrates jazz, pop, and singer-songwriter elements, emphasizing natural vocal techniques and compositional innovation. She leads the ensemble SILK STREET and has performed internationally with groups like Vox5 and the European Brazil Project.

She regularly conducts workshops at institutions including Jazzitudes Festival (France) and Main Pop band camp, and serves on competition juries like Jugend Musiziert.
