Sigrid Beck

Prof. Dr. Sigrid Beck holds the Chair of Descriptive and Theoretical Linguistics at the Department of English, University of Tübingen. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and specializes in semantics, focusing on questions, focus structures, plurals, comparison constructions, and decomposition adverbs. Her research integrates crosslinguistic, diachronic, and acquisition data to inform semantic theory.
