Shuo Liu is a Lecturer in Digital Branding at Middlesex University's School of Design, part of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries. She holds a PhD in Media and Creative Industries from Loughborough University London, alongside degrees from Newcastle University and China's Broadcasting and Television Journalism programs. Her research focuses on media production analysis, particularly television production and the creative industries, with recent work exploring representations of rurality in China's Rural Revitalization program and the 'slow television' series Back to the Field. She co-leads the policy group for the UK-China Creative Industries Research and Innovation Hub.
