Shuo-Hui Hung

Shuo-Hui Hung is an Assistant Professor of Piano at Southwestern Oklahoma State University since 2020. A Taiwanese-born pianist with a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the University of North Texas, she has established herself as a prominent performer and music educator.

Dr. Hung has performed solo concertos with esteemed orchestras such as the Taipei Wind Orchestra, National Taipei University of Education Orchestra, and Voice of Spring Symphony Orchestra, interpreting works by Gershwin, Prokofiev, and Beethoven. Her performance credentials include participation in the Aspen Music Festival (2012) and the Lewisville Lake Symphony Orchestra International Chamber Series (2014).

As an advocate for music education, she coordinates annual piano competitions like the Hubbard-Males Piano Competition, Breckenridge Piano Competition, and Young Musician Piano and String Concerto Competition. Her students have excelled in SWOSU JAC and regional competitions.
