Shucheng Yu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology's Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (2010).
His research spans information security, applied cryptography, wireless networking, distributed trust, and machine learning, with a focus on practical IoT privacy. Recent work explores federated learning security, adversarial robustness, and encrypted geospatial search.
He directs the AISecLab research cluster and is a Fellow of IEEE and AAIA. Awards include the IEEE INFOCOM 2020 Test of Time Paper Award and the Stevens Outstanding Teaching Award (2019).
