Shona Corker is a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy at the School of Science, Technology and Health, York St John University. With a clinical background spanning NHS roles in Yorkshire and London, including The Portland Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic, she has specialized in paediatric settings such as neonatal care, special schools, and CAMHS. She pioneered SLT support for paediatric cancer patients in the UK and established neurodevelopmental assessment clinics. Her research focuses on under-recognized neurodevelopmental conditions like Post-Operative Paediatric Cerebellar Mutism Syndrome (Pop-CMS), Alexithymia, and Aphantasia, supported by grants from NIHR, RCSLT, and the University of York.
